What is the meaning of compulsory motor insurance policy against others?

A document guaranteeing civil liability to third parties for the vehicles under which the insurer undertakes to indemnify only third parties when the covered damage occurs against the insurance premium paid by the insured. The document includes bail bond and annexes if any, provided that none of them contradict or contravenes the provisions of this document

Do you have third party motor insurance, what are the subscription fees?

We have third party insurance for companies and individuals, fees are calculated based on the vehicle’s brand, type, model, region, and accidents record

Is there a third party insurance discount?

Discount is available for the insured in case of absence of claims upon renewal.

Do you have vehicle comprehensive insurance, how much does it cost; does it cover drivers below 25 years?

Yes, we have comprehensive insurance for vehicles, the price is calculated based on the information provided in the form and is done through the sales department. Comprehensive insurance covers accidents, theft or fire. It also includes the vehicle of the other party, coverage may be expanded to include:

  1. Coverage of natural disasters such as torrential rain, floods and hail
  2. Benefit coverage for both the driver and passengers according to the capacity of the vehicle
  3. Coverage of driver below the age of 25 years
  4. Cover the provision of an alternative vehicle at the time of the accident
  5. Expansion of the coverage of the geographical scope to include the GCC, Jordan and Egypt
What is meant by the bearing amount or deduction in vehicle comprehensive policy?

It is an amount to be deducted from the client on every accident covered within the policy

What is the reason of not linking the vehicle in the traffic police system or Najm?

There are different reasons that may include wrong serial number or wrong ID number of the insured

Is it possible to transfer insurance from one person to another?

Vehicle insurance policy is not transferable, in the case of transferring a vehicle’s registration under a different individual, the insurance policy shall be considered as cancelled and no longer active

How much is the recoverable amount the case of cancelation of the policy when selling a vehicle?

It is calculated proportionally based on the below table

Can the insured cancel a motor insurance policy?

Yes but in only certain cases as per the below table. The original policy shall be returned to Wataniya company together with the required documents as per the same table. In case of vehicle accident during the validity of the policy, the insured may request its cancelation, noting that the company shall not refund any amounts to the insurer, as he has already benefited from the insurance coverage

15 working days for claims exceeding 2000 SR and 5 working days for claims below 2000 SR

What are the documents required upon the occurrence of any accident to a comprehensively insured vehicle?

After notifying traffic police on 993 or Najm company on 920000560 upon the occurrence of an accident, the following documents are required when submitting a claim:

  • Original traffic accident report duly signed and stamped with all data (date of accident, names of parties involved in the accident, percentage of responsibility, required amount in writing and figures, name and signature of the investigator, name and signature of traffic police chief) or Najm report
  • Copy of accident sketch (field sketch)
  • Copy of repair permission
  • Copy of valid driving license
  • Valid copy of vehicle registration
  • Copy of the insurance policy
  • Filling in and signing of “accident report form” together with the detailed explanation of the accident and how it happened by the vehicle driver
  • In case of full or partial convection to the third party, the insured must obtain estimations from repair centers or the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers approved by traffic police and provide copies of (driving license, vehicle registration, insurance certificate) of the third party, if the convicted party of the accident does not have insurance coverage, the following must be mentioned in the traffic’s report (accident under processing) and all the above mentioned documents must be attached
  • If the accidents occur out of the main cities (Riyadh – Jeddah – Dammam) the claim shall be submitted through one of the branches of Najm Company for insurance services

Receiving of the above mentioned documents shall not be considered as an acceptance, it will be considered only after ensuring that the accident procedures are compliant with the terms and conditions of the insurance policy

What are the documents required upon the occurrence of an accident of a third party insured vehicle?

The following documents are required:

  • Original traffic accident report duly signed and stamped with all data (date of accident, names of parties involved in the accident, percentage of responsibility, required amount in writing and figures, name and signature of the investigator, name and signature of traffic police chief) or Najm report

  • Copy of the registration of the damaged vehicle
  • Copy of the ID or the residence permit to the harmed party
  • Original copy of the damaged vehicle’s estimates from approved repair centers or the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers
  • Submit photos of the damaged vehicle
  • A copy of the bank account showing the IBAN of the vehicles owner (third party) harmed
What are the documents required upon the occurrence of theft of motor comprehensive insurance?
  • Original police report on theft incident
  • Filling in and signing of “incident report form” together with the detailed explanation of the theft incident and how it happened by the insured or user
  • Copies of vehicle registration and insurance certificate of the insured party
What are the documents required upon the occurrence of fire on an insured vehicle?
  • Original report from civil defense
  • Filling in and signing of “incident report form” together with the detailed explanation of the fire incident and how it happened by the insured or user

  • Original vehicle registration

  • Report issued by Claims Adjuster based on the scale of the loss (will be appointed by the company)

  • Report on the accident or damage report with police report if any.
  • Copy of the insurance policy
  • Report from Claims Adjuster based on the scale of loss (will be appointed by the company)
  • Original invoices of the damaged items together with the supporting documents
  • The substitution value of the affected items

Any other documents may be requested by the claims department or Claims Adjuster at the company

What are the documents required for Marine/ Land/ Air Transportation Insurance Claims?
  • Report on the accident with police report if any, or traffic police report if any in the case of land transport
  • Copy of the policy or the insurance certificates
  • Original shipping policy
  • Original copies of the invoices
  • Short- Landed Certificate issued by the port authorities or the customs authority, or the vessel agent
  • Letter of protest addressed to the parties responsible for the accident and the answers received from them in writing
